SCOUTING FOR FOOD
Your neighborhood Cub Scouts hope that you will participate in this year's Scouting for Food Program. Each fall, Scouts nationwide collect non-perishable food to be donated to local organizations. Every year, the Fallsmead Cub Scouts collect about 2000 pounds of food in our neighborhoods and deliver it to Manna, Montgomery County's food bank!!

If you wish to help out with Scouting for Food, you can donate canned and packaged foods (nothing perishable, frozen or in glass). Simply put your donations in a bag and leave it outside your front door this
Saturday morning, November 8th, by 9:00 am. Scouts will come through the neighborhood that morning (rain or shine) to pick up the bags of food and take them to Manna Food Center in Rockville.

BOOK FAIR & DINE OUT
Come join us for a fun evening of books, games, crafts, guest readers, choral/instrumental music performances, and more (including all-new raffle and door prizes) at the book fair at the Washingtonian Barnes & Noble on Thursday, November 13th, 5:45 - 8:45 pm.

There will also be a dine out at Corner Bakery just down the street any time in the afternoon or evening of November 13th. Simply hand in the flyer here(and coming home soon) with your order and Fallsmead will receive a portion of the profits.
If you are available to volunteer at the Book Fair please contact Mindy Freedman. The more volunteers, the shorter the shifts!

MRS. FIELDS COOKIE SALES
Mrs. Fields cookie orders are due next Friday, November 14th! Please remember to make checks payable to Fallsmead PTA. Proceeds from the cookie sales will benefit the Fallsmead PTA to fund events over the course of the school year. Please contact Amy Sauer with any questions. Happy Baking!
