NEXT PTA MEETING
Our next PTA meeting will be Tuesday, March 7th at 7pm in the Media Center. 
Our school counselor, Mrs. Kotok, will be doing a presentation on the growth mindset. Babysitting will be available from 7-8:30pm for children ages 4 and older. Children must be toilet trained to participate.

BOX TOPS WINNERS
 Thank you to everyone who collected a total of 2726 Box Tops this past collection period, which raised another $272.60 for Fallsmead! The grade that collected the most Box Tops was the 3rd grade, who collected a total of 634. Our next collection deadline is June 2nd, so keep on collecting!

INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL IS COMING!
Fallsmead's International Festival is coming!  The International Festival will be held on Saturday, March 11th from 5:30-7:30pm. We are asking for volunteers to host a table representing their culture or country. Hosts set up and maintain their table with food and cultural artifacts. We are also looking for performers to represent their culture through music, dance, or performance. Please consider hosting a country table and display your cultural talents! GALA TICKET DEADLINE EXTENDED
 We have extended the deadline to purchase Gala tickets to March 8th!

Still booking camps for this summer? We have both day and sleepaway camps to bid on! Dreamed of being an astronaut? We have a Kennedy Center Astronaut Adventure up for grabs! Looking for a reasonable local family get away? We have vacation homes close by!!  Like going out to eat? Get great deals on over 40 local restaurants in the auction's Restaurant Row! The possibilities are endless! Look for a sneak peek listing of all of our Auction Items beginning this weekend on the PTA website!
 
The Gala will take place on March 24, 2017 from 6:30 pm - 10 pm at Glenview Mansion! We have over 180 amazing items to bid on at this fabulous, adult only, event. The evening also includes great food, drinks, and dancing! Tickets are $60 per person or $100 per couple. Checks should be made out to the Fallsmead PTA and sent in to the front office in a sealed envelope marked Fallsmead Gala.
 
All proceeds from the event will go directly to the school to purchase much needed technology for our classrooms and fund PTA sponsored activities. Please plan to join us and encourage your friends to attend what is sure to be a really fun evening! 

5TH GRADE CLEBRATION PLANNING MEETING
 Attention 5th GradeParents! The next 5th Grade Celebration planning meeting will be on Wednesday, March 8th at 7:30pm in the Media CenterWe need as much parent participation as possible to make this a great celebration for all of our kids. EDUCATION BUDGET MEETINGS
Montgomery County Councilmember Craig Rice, 
MCPS Superintendent Dr. Jack Smith, and President of Montgomery College Dr. DeRionne Pollard are hosting a series of upcoming Education Budget Meetings throughout the county to discuss topics such as how education budgeting decisions are made, what the 
county is doing today to get ready for FY18 and beyond, and what opportunities residents have to influence budget decisions.  Meetings will take place from 6:30-8:30pm at the following locations:
  • 3/8 Montgomery Blair High School
  • 3/15 Montgomery College (Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus)
  • 3/22 Walter Johnson High School
  • 3/29 Richard Montgomery High School

WOOTTON BASEBALL COMMUNITY DAY
Wootton High School Baseball is hosting Baseball Community Day on Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 11:00am to 12:30pm at McCracken Baseball Field at Wootton High School. The day will be filled with lots of fun events including baseball skills clinics administered by Wootton players!
