Robert Frost Middle School is holding a 5th grade parent orientation TONIGHT from 7 to 8:30 pm in the Gym. Please take this opportunity to learn about course offerings, ask questions, and get to know Frost a little better before your children head there in the fall!


A lot of important information was discussed at this week's PTA meeting. A summary is provided below for those who could not attend:

- PTA bylaws need to be renewed this year. A copy will be available on the PTA website or click here for review. They will be voted on at the next PTA meeting onTuesday, March 3rd.

- MCCPTA Wootton Cluster Coordinator Chris Cartwright discussed the proposed timeline for renovations to Wootton High School and the importance of all cluster schools to get involved to ensure that we do not lose funding or our place in line for improvements. The high school is already 45 years old. Please keep an eye out for more information on how you can help ensure our kids have a safe learning environment for the future. An important County Council meeting is scheduled forTuesday, February 24th.

- The outdoor classroom and replacement for the 'Vortex' on the playground is scheduled to be installed in early March. Two new benches will also be coming to replace the current benches under the windows just outside the main office.

- PARCC testing for students in grades 3 through 5 will begin March 2nd. End of year testing will begin April 27th (A more detailed calendar will be available on the PTA website). The city of Rockville is sponsoring a student art show at the Glenview Mansion February 22nd- March 5th. Submissions are due Sunday, February 15th. Please click here for more information.

SCIENCE FAIRFallsmead Scientists should continue work on their Science Fair Projects! The Science Fair is taking place on Friday, February 20th from 6 - 8 pm. Please turn in your registration form to your teacher as soon as possible to make sure your name is in the program (Due February13th). Information packets and registration information are still available. Please contact one of the Science Fair coordinators if you have any questions here. Get excited about science!!
