ADOPT A CLASSROOM CHARITY DRIVE

Please support the Fallsmead PTA's Adopt A Classroom Charity Projectto support Greentree Elementary School in Houston, Texas, a school that was heavily affected by Hurricane Harvey. We are accepting cash and checks (payable to Fallsmead PTA), as well as donations and gift cards (Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc.) to buy school supplies and other essential items. Donations will be collected by the Fallsmead office until TOMORROW, December 15th. If you have any questions, please contact service@fallsmeadpta.org.

MoCo HOLIDAY GIFT GIVING PROGRAM

This holiday season, Fallsmead will again be accepting families from Montgomery County Social Services to participate in the Holiday Gift Giving Program. We have all ranges of ages and sizes of kids that need clothes, shoes and socks, toys, books, arts and crafts, etc. Please be sure to stop by the school office to sign up for your donation items!! The deadline for donations is next Monday, December 18th. Thank you in advance for helping out those in need in our area who might otherwise not be getting any gifts. Questions? FALLSMEAD WISH LIST

The holidays are coming up, and the season of giving is a perfect time to help out the Fallsmead teachers and staff! Please check out the Fallsmead Wish List and purchase needed items for the school and your child's classroom. WINTER AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

After School Activities for the Winter 2018 Session are now open for registration! There are so many different options, including Tiny Chefs Cooking, Karate, Coding, Chess, Junior Business, and so much more. . .there is sure to be something for everyone! MCCPTA BUDGET WORKSHOP/STATE FUNDING BRIEFING

MCCPTA is holding an Operating Budget Workshop/State Funding Briefing on Wednesday, December 20th, at the Carver Educational Services Center Auditorium (850 Hungerford Drive) (time TBA). The workshop will focus on how the MCPS budgeting process works, how budget changes may affect schools, and how state funding affects MCPS.

There will also be an update on state funding formulas that are being considered. Any PTA member who is interested in learning more about how funding affects staffing and school programs may attend. If you plan to attend, please click hereto sign up.

STEM CURIOSITY ACADEMY

Saturday School's STEM Curiosity Academy is a STEM-focused, hands-on learning experience for grades 3 to 5. Classes are on Saturdays from 8:30-11:30am starting in February at the following High Schools: Einstein, Northwest, Rockville, Sherwood, Springbrook and Wheaton @ Loiederman.
