The next Box Tops submission deadline is TOMORROW, February 17th. The grade with the most Box Tops will win a prize! The more Box Tops we collect the more money we get for our school, so keep on collecting. Each top = 10 cents!!!! That's free money for our school! PARENT MATH NIGHT
Fallsmead's first ever Parent Math Night is next Tuesday, February 21st, from 7-8:15pm. Parents are invited to participate in teacher led mini-workshops focused on better understanding your child's math curriculum. Each grade level will be holding their own workshops. Click here for more information about this parent-only event.In order to ensure all parents can attend, KidsCo Jr. will provide babysitting in the APR for the small fee of $2.00 per child. FALLSMEAD GALA TICKETS ON SALE NOW!
Buy your tickets now for the Fallsmead Gala and Silent Auction on March 24, 2017! This fabulous evening that includes great food, drinks, dancing, and fantastic auction items will take place close by at the Glenview Mansion from 6:30-10pm. KidsCo will offer a "Kids Night In" that evening at FMES for anyone in need of child care! All proceeds from the event will go to fund new technology for every Fallsmead student.
Tickets are $60 per person or $100 per couple. Anyone who sends in their check for tickets by TOMORROW, February 17th, will be entered in a raffle to win dinner for four at Hard Times Café! Checks should be made out to the Fallsmead PTA and sent in to the front office in a sealed envelope marked Fallsmead Gala. Questions? INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL IS COMING!
Fallsmead's International Festival is in 3 weeks! The International Festival will be held on Saturday, March 11th, from 5:30-7:30pm. We are asking for volunteers to host a table representing their culture or country. Hosts set up and maintain their table with food and cultural artifacts. We are also looking for performers to represent their culture through music, dance, or performance. Please consider hosting a country table and display your cultural talents! WOOTTON CLUSTER BOARD OF ED MEETING
The Wootton Cluster meeting with the Board of Education will be held on February 23rd from 6:30-9pm at Wootton High School. Click here for more information. This small round-table event is your chance to make your voice heard on education issues important to the cluster. Although everyone is invited to this meeting, RSVPs are required to attend. Our next PTA meeting will be Tuesday, March 7th, at 7pm in the Media Center.
Our school counselor, Mrs. Kotok, will be doing a presentation on the growth mindset. Babysitting will be available from 7-8:30pm for children ages 4 and older. Children must be toilet trained to participate.

FROST 6TH GRADE SUMMER ORIENTATION
Attention 5th grade parents! Sign-ups for Summer Orientation Sessions for kids who will be attending Robert Frost Middle School as a 6th grader in the fall are now open. The student summer orientation session is an opportunity for students to get comfortable and explore their new school prior to the start of a new school year. WINTER YEARBOOK PHOTOS NEEDED
The Yearbook Committee is looking for pictures from all winter school events from November to now (e.g., holiday celebrations, Variety Show, Valentine's Day, Science Fair and more)! They will be collecting photos from winter events until March 1st. Any photos, including those taken by cell phone, are accepted as long as they are 700 Kb in size or greater. You can add photos to the grade-specific google albums by clicking the following link for your grade (Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade, Third Grade, Fourth Grade, Fifth Grade), or you can email photos to email@example.com.
